RAE’S READS

ADDING THESE THREE to my TBR shelf:

Also have been re-reading this blogger friend’s book in preparation for my Advanced Writing class this fall.

I don’t teach creative writing; I teach writing argumentatively towards an academic audience, but this little book reminds me what writing is all about and has a ton of ideas to teach real-world writing, which makes up the second half of my semester.

I got Bookworm out of the library last year and had to return it because time was up. I really need to get it again. Enjoy all your upcoming reads Rae.

I hope you enjoy Bookworm when you get time to read it. I felt a commonality with the author.

I definitely felt a commonality with the author, too. Although many of the books mentioned were from British authors, all the American ones she mentioned were some of my favorites. My first alphabet book and a lovely book called Nicholas Thomas are the earliest books I remember, which were provided by my English grandmother and were written by British authors. I remember those horrible Siamese twins who were always getting poor Nicholas Thomas in trouble asking at tea, “Bread and butter, purrlease.”

Wow! I love how you came up with ‘Stacking the Shelves on Saturday’…. so creative again! I am guessing you love cats! Am I right?

Stacking the Shelves is original with Carla of “Carla Loves to Read” a blogging friend, and the picture is “stolen” as well. A friend of hers makes great memes/pictures for her. You ought to check out her blog. Many ideas I have that are really good are just dragged from other friends’ blogs and pasted or dropped on mine from my desktop. A few are pics I’ve found on the internet, but one has to be careful about that. I usually give a thank you to Carla (or whomever) for using their “stuff”. Judging from your comment, I failed to do so this time. Thanks for “keeping me honest.” LOL
